Pennington Flash 1st c.p. on left.
Directions to Pennington Flash – from M61
Leave motorway at Junction 5 at Chequerbent and head for Westhoughton. After road rises from a sharp dip turn left to Daisy Hill down Schofield Lane. Follow this to the end and at traffic lights dogleg to go straight across. At next lights after crematorium turn right onto Atherleigh Way. Follow this Leigh bypass past B&Q, Asda and Sainsburys. After Morrisons and new rugby ground turn right at next lights and after fire station turn right into entrance to Pennington Flash. Car park is immediately on the left.
Directions to Pennington Flash – from East Lancs Road
Coming from Manchester turn right at next traffic lights after Greyhound Hotel. Coming towards Manchester turn left at next roundabout after Lowton. Turn left at next lights at fire station and right into Pennington Flash. We will be taking a look at the new country parks opened up between Leigh and Wigan. It makes for an eye-opener of a route, not too strenuous and very rewarding |

This is a dog friendly route but there will be sections where they have to be leashed. There are toilet facilities at Pennington Flash and at the lunchtime stop Three Sisters |
