Bainbridge Bash

Bainbridge Bash  7th July 2012

There were 14 walkers, not deterred by the possible bad weather, which started off overcast but turned into a bright sunny day with some haze, still some good views.

I didn’t intend to use the stepping stones near Worton; just as well as they were covered in fast-flowing water, I’ve enclosed a picture of them on the recce with Carol and Eva. The path along the river bank to Worton bridge looked good but turned into a jungle, everyone appeared to take it in their stride, although some locals did say the correct path was to the left, should have listened to them, no harm done and no harm in admitting the mistake!

The Archimedes Screw Turbine at Bainbridge had plenty of water to keep it going, not all bad.

Thanks to everyone who turned out, hope you all enjoyed it as much as myself,

Bri
