A Walk around Scarborough

 A wet but happy group

A Walk around Scarborough – Saturday 16th June 2012.

6 of us turned up for Normans 20mile walk from Scalby Mills, Scarborough despite the forecast for gale force winds and heavy rain.

Thankfully the weather forecast couldn’t have been more wrong; we set off in overcast humid conditions followed by a short period of drizzle, this set the scene for the rest of the day.

It was a grand walk with varied scenery woods, fields and coastal views, with a walk along the seafront and a climb to the castle to round off a good day out.

Many thanks to Norman who kept us informed with snippets of history as we went along.
