Minutes of meeting held on 14^th June 2012

Apologies for Absence

Treasurer: Carol reported finances in a healthy position.

Walk Secretary:

The last club walk was Geoff ‘A Stroll around Errington Woods & Upleatham” 10 out, very informative, everyone out enjoyed the snapshot into our local past. Steve’s walk “Woods & Moor Ramble” had been on 26^th May with a good turnout.

The next walk will be from Scalby Mills “A Walk Around Scarborough” led by Norman Sat 16^th June, 20 miles. Brian walk from Bainbridge is on Saturday 7^th July, 15miles.

Website:  Photos had now been put on the website for Steve’s walk and a walks report for Geoff’s walk.

Hanging Stone:

We have 8 entries to date.

Equipment:  Albert ran through the contents of the equipment list and what was needed for the Hanging Stone, everything on the list would be needed except for the two spare burners which Geoff stores. (copy attached to minutes)

Congratulations to Albert, Dave and also Nigel Coates on completing The Games 100.

The date of the August meeting has been changed to 2^nd August to allow a meeting prior to the Hanging Stone; this has been confirmed with the Fox Covert.

Christmas Lunch has been provisionally booked with The Fox Covert 15th December  – 12.30 for 1.00pm Lunch for 20 people, exact numbers and deposit to be paid by August meeting.

Terry had been asked to give a short talk and film at the meeting on the Wildlife in his Garden.  Date to be confirmed.

Meeting closed at 8.25pm.
