Minutes 8.3.12
Minutes of meeting held on 8th March 2012
17 members present
Chairman: David had nothing to report.
Secretary: Edith brought 40th anniversary badge for members to see. These will be presented when we have done our walk in September. Six Cleveland members had attended the recent LDWA AGM at Grange-over-Sands.
Treasurer: Carol reported finances healthy.
Walks Secretary: Albert reported on his walk from Chop Gate. 28 people out. Nice to see Steve Hudson’s grandson out. He did very well. Photos have been put on the website.
Anton had done one of our shorter walks. This coincided with the AGM weekend but there had been 5 people out and it had been a good walk.
The next walk will be led by Terry from Ingleby Barwick, parking near the school.
Geoff is to do a historical walk on 9th June.
Website: Eva reported that the website was going well and more photos had been added.
Hanging Stone: We now have 3 entries. Carol is to send out the usual letters to the various authorities.
AOB. Vince has looked at a route starting at Swainby on 22nd September. We are having a meal at the Black Horse and cars can be parked there.
Eva suggested we had bi-monthly meetings as we frequently had nothing to discuss, but it was the general opinion that this could damage the club and we should stay as we are with monthly meetings. Albert to ask Jill King about giving a talk on Wainwright.
Meeting closed at 8.45pm.
