Minutes of meeting held on 9th February 2012

Chairman: David had nothing to report.

Secretary: Edith had received leaflets for a new Challenge Event run by Scouts in Lancashire – Peeler’s Hike.

Also e-mail advertising the Whitby Welly Walk, fund-raising walk organised by RNLI.

Enquiries had been made at the Black Horse at Swainby who confirmed that they could accommodate our group on 22nd September for a meal following our Anniversary walk. Vince is to devise a route.

Treasurer: Carol was on holiday.

Walks Secretary: David reported he had 23 people out on his walk based on Cleveland Street and then back on the Cleveland Way to Saltburn, then on the beach to Green Lane and back to Slapewath. It was a beautiful day with good views.

The next walk is to be led by Albert from Chop Gate, 18 miles.

Hanging Stone: It is early days but Eva reported we have two entries. She briefly went through checkpoint personnel but this will be repeated when there are more members present.
