Minutes of meeting held on 10th November 2011

Apologies for absence: Pat and Vince Thwaites

Chairman: Confirmed that he would be setting a quiz for the December meeting.

Secretary: A letter had been received from Marches Group thanking our group for help on the Housman 100 and enclosing cheque for £200.

Treasurer: Arrangements were made to change signatures on our bank account following Carol taking over as Treasurer. The club has a healthy balance.

Walks Secretary: There had been no walk since the last meeting. The next walk is from Scaling Dam, led by Alan.

Webmaster: Paul had discussed the website with Simon Leck, National Committee Webmaster. Our group now had the new Local Groups template and he was finding it easier to use. He would be adding more photos in the future. Eva asked if we could have a separate tab for Hanging Stone so that when people logged into the website they could easily get details.

Hanging Stone: Eva recommended that we did not change the entry fee, and this was agreed. We were reminded that the Hanging Stone would be a week earlier next year due to the fact that a wedding had been booked for the week we usually had.

40th Anniversary Walk: There was a discussion about which walk we would do to celebrate the LDWA 40th Anniversary. Lyke Wake Walk was suggested as it is 40 miles. Other suggestions were Seahorse Saunter and the White Rose Walk, both of which are a similar distance. We need to work out transport arrangements, starting point with regard to where we can leave our cars overnight etc.
